Interview YSDS

Assalamualaikum...

Baru ada mood nak update blog... hehe... :)(:
thanks to siapa yg bagi cadangan tajuk yang sangat memberangsangkan ni...
nak story pasal ........

  My Interview for YSD Scholarship....

    Before that, please know that YSDS stands for Yayasan Sime Darby Scholarship...  sounds like WOW kan?...  actually quite WOW laa...

    On 10th May, I went for the YSDS interview for the Pre-U program in China... The interview was held at Sime Darby Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur...  My parents said ''KL?? Jauhnya!!"...  "Xpelah ibu, ayah... da alang2 jalan2 la sekali... da lama x keluar dari Johor kan?... huhu..." ....We arrived there at 12.00 noon...  I dont want to tell how our trip was... dengan sesat nyelah... x tahu jalan lagi... dengan jalan yg bertingkat2 tue... tp nsib baik smpai... huhu...  Ok, then I registered there.... The interview started at 1400... The interview was devided into two parts...  ''Impromptu Presentation '' and ''Online Assessment''.... amende ni??.. xpnah dengar pon!!... haha... aku pun mula2 x tau..tp last2 tau jgak...

''Impromptu Presentation '' :

1. This is a 2nd Screening of YSD Selection Process. In this assessment, each candidate will be given general topics and are expected to present and articulate your views and ideas for 10 minutes. 
2. Prior to presentation, candidates will be given 10 minutes for preparation. 
3. Candidates will be observed and assessed during the presentation. 
4. The assessment will be conducted in English. 

 "Online Assessment"
1. Immediately after the "Impromptu Presentation", candidates will be shortlisted again based on the 2nd Screening score to determine successful candidates for online assessment. Successful candidates will then proceed to the "Online Assessment" which will be held during the same session. 
2. Online assessment is the 3rd Screening process for YSD Scholarship Selection. In this assessment, each candidate will be tested in two ability test, i.e. Verbal Analysis and Numerical Analysis using an online test platform. 
3. Each ability test duration is 20 minutes for 28 questions. Total duration for this 3rd Screening process is one hour. 

For the Impromtu Presentation, the topic that I've got was ''Working Part Time While Studying.Pros and Contras".... Fuhh... alhamdulillah... One of the easiest topics there...  After less than 10 minutes presented the topic, the assessor asked me a lil bit about myself.. and so on... 

Some of the questions that I remember:

-Tell me about your background..

-Why do you interested with this scholarship?

-What do you know about Sime Darby?

-What course do you apply for?.. 

-Have you make a research for universities in China as you applied for the program in China?.. masa ni aku dah tercengang... Ya Allah... lupa nak wat research pasal ni... asyik baca pasal Sime Darby smpai lupa nk wat research pasal ni.....

-Can you speak Chinese?.. What if you are selected and we have to fly to China this July?.. 

-Do you applied for another scholarships other than this?.. How about the result?... 

-Have you been offered for any matriculation program or else?... Do you accept it?...

-Any question you wanna ask me? about me? about Sime Darby?..

Actually and OBVIOUSLY they want to take students who have basic in Chinese language... there were 20 of us that day.. only 6 of us were Malays... all of us were not successful to take the Online Assessment...  So, that's all for my First Experience for Interview!.. Although I feel quite disappointed, but I know Allah knows the best for me.... alhamdulillah~ :)(:  

Thanks ibu, thanks ayah!! sebab sudi bawak Qah pergi interview tu... walaupun tak berjaya, Qah harap ibu ayah suka dapat bawa kitorang semua pegi jalan2 kt KL... hehe...

Najah Syalala YANG AWESOME GLERR!!! kelas paling GEMPAK pernah aku ada... Rindu nak makan sama2... belajar sama2... gelak sama2... nyanyi sama2... BUT.. one thing yang aku x nak ingat ialah masa BENDAHARI BERTUKAR MENJADI AHLONG KUTIP DUIT KITORANG!!!... haha...
